Definition
The tuberculosis death rate indicator refers to the estimated number of deaths due to tuberculosis (TB) in a given time period. Deaths from all forms of TB are included. However, deaths in HIV positive people with TB as a contributory cause are coded under HIV chapters of ICD10 and therefore, not included in this indicator.
