Probability (expressed as a rate per 1000 live births) of a child born in a specific year or period dying in the first 30 days of life, if subject to age-specific mortality rates of that period.Numerator: Deaths at ages 0–30 days. Denominator: Number of surviving children at beginning of specified age range during the 10 years prior to survey.
